I have been working in healthcare for thirteen years, I began my journey as a National Certified Medical Assistant. At this time, I worked in family medicine at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. I continued my education and graduated from Luna Community College Nursing Program with my Associates Degree in Nursing. I have worked in many different areas of nursing In-patient Care, Home Health Care, and Primary Care. Throughout my career I have also continued my educational journey earning various other certifications/credentials. I first discovered West Las Vegas Head Start/Early Head Start as a parent when both my children were enrolled. This unique program gives me an opportunity to work with the children of our community and watch as they blossom and grow, as the Program Health and Nutrition Specialist I assist in providing care and education to promote the health of our children which in turn helps them flourish in their early education journey.
